Southern Culture's products are has been distributed in 4,000 stores nationwide and internationally, and Erica has expanded to own a full-service manufacturing plant, producing products for various celebrity clients. Inspired by her upbringing in Mobile, Alabama, Southern Culture is known for its pancake and waffle mixes, maple syrups, flavored bacon and chicken rubs, and flavored grits. Erica’s passion for cooking began at a young age and has now culminated in the success of her business empire.
Educated at Clark Atlanta University with a BA in Business Finance and as a graduate of the International Culinary Center with a diploma in Culinary Entrepreneurship, Erica has achieved success in the food industry. In 2019, she opened her first restaurant, SOCU Southern Kitchen and Oyster Bar, followed by Dough Boy Pizza Co, a growing pizza franchise called Dough Boy Pizza Co, which is now 4 locations strong and 10 by March 2025 with 25 deals closed. Erica Barrett is the 2024 Season 5 winner of Food Network’s BBQ Brawl.
Looking ahead, Erica plans to expand her brand even further, expressing her ambition to start a TV show focused on lifestyle, food, and hospitality, and even to own a hotel.
